When will Plaza San Clemente open? Sun Cal, the developer of the residential portion of this project, is responsible for infrastructure work on the site, which is anticipated to be completed early in 2010. Once this work is finished, construction of Plaza San Clemente will commence. The anticipated opening date is 2011. What work is Sun Cal responsible for? Sun Cal is responsible for the completion of Avenida Vista Hermosa to Pico including the bridge, plus some items on our property (removal of sand stockpile, storm drain installation, water line and AT&T conduit relocation, stubbing utilities, rough grading, etc.). While not all of these items need to be completed for us to begin our work, they need to be underway coinciding with our work. What amenities will Plaza San Clemente include? Plaza San Clemente will be a destination retail and entertainment center with breathtaking ocean views, lush landscaping and unique water features. The entire project will be approximately 643,000 square feet and will include approximately 350,000 square feet of outlet stores and complementary retail, a large multiplex cinema, a mixture of dinner houses and casual dining, a boutique hotel with visitor and conference facilities, and a blend of neighborhood services. Valet parking will be offered during peak shopping periods. What types of stores will be at Plaza San Clemente? Plaza San Clemente will host a wide variety of nationally recognized designer brand outlet stores offering apparel and accessories typically featured in ads of magazines such as Allure, In-Style, Vanity Fair and Lucky. We expect a similar tenant mix found at Citadel Outlets, Cabazon Outlets and other upscale outlet centers. Store categories will include women's, men's and children's apparel, shoes and accessories, jewelry, health and beauty, toys/hobbies, home goods and furnishings, leather and luggage, electronics and other specialty items. Phase I is currently over 75% committed and a list of stores will be announced as we get closer to our grand opening. What type of restaurants should I expect to see at Plaza San Clemente? Plaza San Clemente will be home to several high-end dinner houses with spectacular ocean views along with a compliment of casual, family dining and quick bit eateries. Tell me more about the hotel.
